Have you watched Bob Proctor’s Secret Income System videos yet? In the 4 videos he talks about one way that you can live a life of financial freedom if you want to. The videos are amazing and have a lot of good content that you can apply to whatever you decide to do.

The first video is about Freedom. What does freedom mean to you? For me it is about Time Freedom – being able to take the time to be with my family when I want to without having to get anyone else’s permission. For other’s it might be about money freedom – having the money to do what they want to do at any given time. Maybe for you it is just not having to worry about time, money, or whatever it is that you have to worry about.

The second video is about what Bob Proctor calls MSIs or Multiple Streams of Income. I have sometimes seen it written as Multiple Sources of Income. Either way, it is about having several income streams or income sources set up that pretty much run themselves without you having to monitor them continually. In other words, he’s not talking about having a second or third job because a job requires your presence in order for you to make money.

One example of someone with multiple sources of income would be an author who has written several books. Take Jack Canfield for example. There are many different titles in the Chicken Soup book series that he started by co-authoring Chicken Soup for the Soul. Each one of those books can be considered a stream of income and Jack Canfield collects a check every so often from the sales of those books, regardless of whether he is actively promoting the books or not.

Of course you don’t have to be an author to have multiple streams of income. There are many ways that you could set something up.

The third video is about Fear. Fear is what keeps us in our place. I love to listen to Bob talking about fear and the Terror Barrier. If you aren’t familiar with the Terror Barrier then for now you can think of it as the boundary around your comfort zone. However you want to look at it, you fear of stepping outside of your comfort zone and through your terror barrier is what keeps you from reaching the freedom that you want.

Have you heard of Bob Proctor?  Whether you have or not, he wants you to be rich.

I have blogged before about affiliate marketing programs and a great opportunity arrived in my email this week. A couple years ago Bob Proctor got together with Jack Canfield and Rev. Michael Beckwith, 2 of his co-stars from The Secret, to create the SGR Program. UPDATE:  The program has launched and, based on the emails I have seen, has been extremely successful so far.  Now is a great time to get on board.

The word “job” is really an acronym for “just over broke”. Too many people toil their lives away at a job for 45 years and end up having to get by on Social Security or work as a greeter at Walmart. I have nothing against greeters at Walmart, but by the time you retire you should have a choice about what you want to do with the rest of your life. If that is to be a greeter at Walmart because you enjoy the social interaction, then that’s great. It shouldn’t be because you need the money.

But we are doing exactly as we have been programmed to do. We are taught that we need to study hard in school and go to college so that we can get a good job making a good salary. Once you have accomplished that you’re set for life, right? I don’t think so. The first thing you do when you get your paycheck every month is pay the bills. There isn’t much left over afterwards, is there? Maybe enough to take the family out for dinner or to see a movie. If an emergency comes up then it goes on the credit card. Now there are more bills for the next payday and even less money left over.

It doesn’t have to be that way. You just need to learn about money. How to make it and how to use it. Our school system doesn’t teach us how to make money, and it isn’t designed to. You wouldn’t go to a drowning person to learn how to swim, so you can’t expect a teacher, who is paid only a little, to teach you how to get paid a lot. And you deserve to make a lot of money. We live in a world that has a lot to offer, but you have to have money to experience it.

Before we go any farther we have to get one thing clear. Money is not the root of all evil. The love of money is. Money is a tool and nothing more. You shouldn’t love money any more than you would love a hammer or a pencil. Money is also how we keep score in our society. You make money by providing a service. If you aren’t making much money then you aren’t providing enough service.

Don’t forget that.

Now for what this blog is about. For the past couple years I have been studying people who are making a lot of money and I want to share what I have learned. I am really just getting started on this journey and I will use this blog to share what I have learned and how it is working for me.
